  • Full disclosure: tonight was Team Tsubamegun’s annual “let’s use our fanclub vouchers to sit in the infield for free” night. It also happened to be the season’s 4th half price beer night at Jingu. I drank lots of beer. I don’t remember much about the game.
  • Yamada gave Hara a slender margin of run support with both Swallows RBIs (the second a fortuitous bounder down the centre of the infield which somehow evaded Chunichi gloves), and Hara, despite getting into a fair few jams, dug deep to preserve that margin.
  • After last night’s season-worst 14,773 attendance, tonight saw over 25,818 folk show up for the beer.
