The Swallows once again avoided starting another losing streak by taking an early lead, losing it, and finally coming back to sayonara the Tigers.

Ishikawa started the game smoothly for once getting through the Tigers order with only a double conceded to start.

Nakamura staked Ishikawa with a small lead with a solo shot to left in the second. 1-0 Swallows

But then with two outs in the fourth Ishikawa Ishikawa’ed giving up back-to-back solo shots to Nakatani and Oyama. 2-1 Tigers

The Swallows struck back in the bottom of the inning. Yamada and Rivero lead off with a single and double. Yamada came home on a Fujii single. 2-2 All Nakamura sac flied to center to re-gain the lead. 3-2 Swallows Okumura followed with a single and Ishikawa got an extra run with a squeeze up the first base line. 4-2 Swallows

Ishikawa gave it back in the fifth after he gave up a lead off single to to a pinch-hitting Umeno and a homer to Shunsuke. 4-4 All

Ishikawa pitched through the inning and came out and got one out in the sixth before giving up a single. From there the Swallows handed the ball off to the bullpen and Ishiyama, Kondo, Matsuoka, and Lueke pitched perfectly.

Meanwhile the Swallows offense squandered a few chances and the game was still tied going into the bottom of the ninth. Yamasaki doubled to open the inning and the Tigers walked Coco to get to Yamada. Yamada obliged with a GIDP that put Yamasaki on third. Rivero singled up the middle to give the Swallows a W. 5-4 Swallows FINAL
