After sweeping the Dragons at home, the Swallows looked to reverse their road luck in Hiroshima. Unfortunately, the Biards weren’t able to take down the CL leaders in their home.

The Swallows came into the night lost 10 straight games in Hiroshima. Their last win in Hiroshima came last year on June 30. Things did not start very well for the Swallows. Seiya Suzuki lead off the second with a homer to give the Carp an early lead. 1-0 Carp

David Buchanan found himself with two outs and the bases loaded against Matsuyama in the third inning. Matsuyama worked the count full and launched a bases-clearing double to bust the game open. 4-0 Carp

Coco responded by opening the fourth with a solo shot, extending his home run game streak to four games. 4-1 Carp

Kikuchi hit a solo homer off of Buchanan in the fifth to extend the lead. 5-1 Carp

The Carp capped the scoring in the eighth against Nakazawa. Pinch-hitter Noma singled and Brad Eldred fomered to deep left. 7-1 Carp FINAL

Ogawa will start for the Swallows tomorrow night.
