The boxscore says it all really. The Tigers hit four homers (two by newcomer Jason Rogers) and David Buchanan got shelled for seven runs in six innings. The Swallows did get their first non-home run RBI since July 12 when Nakamura singled in Sakaguchi in the ninth inning spoiling Akiyama’s complete game shutout. But it was too little too late as Akiyama got his complete game. Despite the high run total the game lasted only 2 hours and 56 minutes.

The Swallows will try again to get their first July win with Yoshinori tomorrow night.
