A bit of an abbreviated report, as all the scoring came from the other side:

Ishikawa gave up two runs over five innings, including the first homer in two years from a feller named Minei.

Yokohama added four more runs in the seventh courtesy Kato, who gave up a homer of his own to Tsutsugo.

On offense, the birds were completely shut out by starter Imanaga, who went the distance in 141 pitches, giving up a mere four hits.

Things that make you go “blergh!”

Game notes:

  • The Swallows are deep in sixth, 3.5 games behind the Giants.
  • If you ever wanted an excuse to use the phrase “I read Playboy for the articles,” this week’s Weekly Playboy has a piece about why the birds stink so much this year.

The articles! Just the articles! I swear!
