Ogawa tossed a decent seven innings (5H / 2 K / 0 BB), the only runs allowed coming courtesy of a 7th inning Sakamoto two run homer.

The bats offered him no run support, and only got on the scoreboard courtesy of a Sawamura meltdown in the 9th, whereupon the bases were loaded with one out via an Araki single and two walks, with the run scoring on a Morioka HBP.

Any hopes of a comeback were stabbed squarely in the eyes as Nakamura hit into a game ending double play which means………….

About David Watkins

David is a baseball bothering Brummie who spends a fair portion of his life fretting over the Tokyo Swallows and the WORLD'S GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM, Aston Villa. It saddens me that Dave has to pull out this L thing out every year.

    • At this point I have a deep stock of ornate Ls to recycle.

      Thanks Swallows.
