Tokyo Swallows Podcast 22 (August, 2014)

Chris’ book and Kozo’s uniform.

After the positivity-cast last time, the boys have come down with a bad case of negativity. Dave is descending into madness, Chris has taken to drinking too much shochu, and Kozo’s sold his soul to the devil (a.k.a DeNA). Tune into a short but sweet discussion between the three Tsubamegun writers about August. This episode of the podcast was recorded during the Swallows’ loss to the Tigers last Friday.

Content Overview:

  • The boys discuss Chris’ book and associated book tour. Chris’ book The Shochu Handbook – An Introduction to Japan’s Indigenous Distilled Drink is available in paperback and eBook formats at book retailers including Amazon and SmashWords.
  • Recounting the month of August and its ups and downs.
  • Chris declares he’ll shave his head if Hatake has 3 more good seasons.

Hey guys in the podcast Kozo talked about watching streams online could you post any links where I could watch them? Thanks guys and I will be going to the game on the 17th and 23rd at Jingu hope to see you guys there!

The main source of streams for NPB games as far as I knew was on, which actually shutdown while I was back in Canada. I found restreams on Ustream but those tended to get shutdown mid-game. It’s simply a matter of going to a streaming site’s page and looking at the thumbnails under the sports section to see if there’s a match.

I don’t really use streams while I’m in Japan so I’m not sure if there’s a better way. As I mentioned in a another thread all BayStars’ home games are available on NicoNico. There’s also Pa League TV, but obviously that’s not great for watching the Swallows.
