(Mazda Zooooom Zoooooom Stadium)

Someone in the Carp front office thought it was a good idea to start tonight’s game in rainy conditions. Luckily for the Swallows the umpires decided to call the game before Nakazawa got tagged with an ugly loss. But let’s break down this game even though it will be erased from the record.

 Swallows Carp
1Tetsuto Yamada (2B)1Yoshihiro Maru (CF)
2Yuhei (Takai) (CF)2Ryosuke Kikuchi (2B)
3Wladimir Balentien (RF)3Kila Ka'aihue (1B)
4Lastings Milledge (LF)4Brad Eldred (LF)
5Shingo Kawabata (3B)5Eishin Soyogi (SS)
6Kazuhiro Hatakeyama (1B)6Jun Hirose (RF)
7Ryoji Aikawa (C)7Kenta Dobayashi (3B)
8Naomichi Nishiura (SS)8Yoshiyuki Ishihara (C)
9Masato Nakazawa (P)9Kenta Maeda (P)

Kenta Maeda, was Kenta Maeda and got the top of the Swallows order 1-2-3.

Masato Nakazawa, was Masato Nakazawa and allowed a lead off single. After the Carp conceded an out via a sac bunt, Nakazawa continued to be Nakazawa by walking the next THREE batters to push in a run. 1-0 Carp Hirose flied out to center to score yet another run. 2-0 Carp Nakazawa managed to end his night on a high note by striking out last night’s hero Dobayashi.

Then the rain got so heavy the umpires called the game. One wonders if Nakazawa will get a chance to start next week after his unimpressive inning of work.

The Swallows will try to play at home tomorrow against the Tigers. Ogawa is set to start versus Messenger.
