Aoki hits walk-off HR

First of all, apologies to Garrett for this post.

His second favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, fell victim to a walk-off HR from the one and only Aoki. It was Norichika’s second homer of the game. As a White Sox fan, I am especially happy to see him doing well at the expense of the Cubbies.

I think this reminds the Cubbies of how bad their season really is. Aoki left the Swallows after last season and has been relatively successful in his first season in the land of cheese. He is batting just over .300, with an OBP of .357. The two homers he hit in this game were the first two that left the park for Aoki this season. He did have an inside-the-park homer earlier in the season.

About Scott

Scott is an avid fan of the underdog. He spent his childhood cheering for the Chicago White Sox and hating all teams from New York. Once he moved to Tokyo, he quickly directed this same hatred toward the tenants of the Tokyo Dome. Thus began his support of the Swallows (and anyone playing against the indoor Tokyo team).
In his mind, there is not a better place to be than at Jingu stadium watching the Swallows from the bleachers, drinking a nice cold drink, and cheering along with the extremely knowledgeable Swallows fans.
