Player News: Jamie D'Antona is Back!

D'Antona was not in the lineup for a good part of Tokyo's August swoon.

Tsubamegun is happy to report that Jamie D’Antona, Tokyo’s big-hitting, fun-loving first baseman, is back in the starting lineup and helping to stabilize the middle of the order.

D’Antona has made appearances in six games thus far since he pinch hit late in a game against the Dragons last month.

In 12 plate appearances since returning to the top team, he has two hits, one rbi, and one walk.

Everyone is now waiting to see if he can regain the form he displayed in July when he was named Central League position player of the month.

That would definitely be good news as the team has been struggling mightily without him.

About Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a budding sabermetrician and long-time supporter of Tokyo's more lovable team, the Swallows. He has publicly volunteered, several times, that he plans to buy the team at some point in the future. When he finally runs the joint, it is likely that he will fine any player who swings at the first pitch or sac bunts (unless it's a pitcher, of course). Follow him on Twitter: @chrispellegrini
