Hiroshima Toyo Carp 1

Streak: Lost 1     Last 5: LLLWL

(Hiroshima Stadium)

Hye-cheon Lee started this one for the birds and only gave up one run off of four hits in five innings, but he still came away with the loss because he didn’t get any run support. Lee posted three strikeouts, two walks, andaone balk.

Tokyo had seven hits on the afternoon, but wasn’t able to get more than one in any single inning. Barrett, Satou and Takai all spent an inning on the mound in relief.

Seven different batters had hits in this game with six of them being singles. Five Hiroshima pitchers combined to keep the Swallows from scoring.

About Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a budding sabermetrician and long-time supporter of Tokyo's more lovable team, the Swallows. He has publicly volunteered, several times, that he plans to buy the team at some point in the future. When he finally runs the joint, it is likely that he will fine any player who swings at the first pitch or sac bunts (unless it's a pitcher, of course). Follow him on Twitter: @chrispellegrini
