Sanshin TigersTokyo Yakult Swallows cap

Tokyo Swallows 0

Hanshin Tigers 5

Streak: Lost 2 Last 5: WLWLL

Tokyo managed only two hits in this affair, two of which were courtesy of the underrated Noguchi’s bat.

The pitching crew combined to give up 13 hits. Hye-cheon Lee started and was allowed to stay in the game for 91 pitches over five full innings. He gave up three runs off of eight hits in his second appearance of the month. He also had two K’s against two walks.

Lee was relieved by Satou who pitched one inning without giving up a run despite allowing two hits.

Satou was followed by Takaichi who had a solid seventh inning followed by a rocky eighth in which he gave up three hits and two runs.

Lee took the loss while Ando secured the win for the home team.

About Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a budding sabermetrician and long-time supporter of Tokyo's more lovable team, the Swallows. He has publicly volunteered, several times, that he plans to buy the team at some point in the future. When he finally runs the joint, it is likely that he will fine any player who swings at the first pitch or sac bunts (unless it's a pitcher, of course). Follow him on Twitter: @chrispellegrini
