In the latest battle between the Central League’s two worst clubs, the Swallows wasted Ishikawa’s quality start and saw their three game winning streak come to an end.

First inning: the Swallows took an early lead on all-world Yamada’s three run home run. The Swallows offense went MIA for the rest of the game. 3-0 Swallows

Fourth inning: Hanshin equalized on a string of hits and a sacrifice fly by Gomez, Arai and Yamato respectively. 3-3 

Eighth inning: Josh Lueke came on for Ishikawa, who went seven quality innings. After getting Fukudome to strikeout, he gave up two straight hits, the latter being a Gomez two run home run. 5-3 Hanshin final

Kyuji Fujikawa got the win in relief, Lueke took the loss and Dolis picked up his eighth save of the season.
