Balentien lead off the third inning with a homer to straightaway center to add another run. 2-0 Swallows

Tateyama ran into some trouble in the fourth. Hirata lead off the inning with a single. Viciedo struck out and Nanita grounded out but advanced Hirata to second. Fukuda singled to right and brought home Hirata. 2-1 Swallows Donoue followed with another single and Tateyama walked Katsura to load the bases. Valdes wasn’t able to help his own cause and Tateyama got out without further damage.

The Swallows broke the game open in the fifth. Sakaguchi lead off the inning with a single. Yamada and Jae-hoon walked and once again Nishiura came up to bat with two outs and the bases loaded. Nishiura took a 1-0 pitch and skyed it high and long enough to find itself into the left field stands. 6-1 Swallows

Tateyama ran into some trouble in the bottom of the inning. After giving up a one out double to Hernandez, Tateyama walked HIrata and Viciedo back-to-back. Nanita flied out to center which was good enough for a run. 6-2 Swallows Tateyama got Fukuda to ground out to end the Dragons’ threat.

The Swallows bullpen relay began in earnest in the sixth. Muranaka pitched a scoreless one hit sixth inning. Hirai gave up a run on two hits in the seventh. 6-3 Swallows Lueke pitched a perfect eighth and Akiyoshi was brought in to close out the game. Akiyoshi did his job getting the top of the Dragons’ order 1-2-3. 6-3 Swallows FINAL
