Despite an ugly second inning, Ogawa continued in his role as the Swallows’ most reliable arm. Luckily for Tokyo, Ino had a roughly equally bad fourth and the Birds eked out a win.

Bottom of the second. Ogawa tried to work Tsutsugo high and outside, but to no avail. Home run to left. This was followed by an Aranami single, a Kuwahara pop-out, and a Tobashira single. Kuramoto then hit an RBI single to left. 2-0 Yokohama.
Top of the fourth. Yamada led off with a walk. Hatake whiffed, but Yamada managed to snag second during his AB. Balentien then cracked a high pop up right in front of the plate that Tobashira obligingly dropped, putting runners on first and second. Yuhei then made a meal of the first pitch he saw, sending it into the Tokyo bleachers for a three-run round-tripper, his first of the season. 3-2 Tokyo, Final.
Ondrusek notched his first save of the season with a tidy 1-2-3 including a K of Kuramoto.
