Top of the seventh. Andoh took over the hurling duties for the Tigers and runs were finally put on the board. Kawabata doubled and was driven in by Hatakeyama. Hatake himself soon scored on a Yuhei triple. Despite a couple of ABs of tension, Yuhei didn’t get the chance to score. 2-0 Tokyo.
Top of the eighth. Fukuhara took the mound for Hanshin. After seven scoreless innings, Yamanaka was pulled for Imanari to pinch-hit. He singled. Hiyane sac-bunted him to second and Kawabata and Yamada walked to load the bases. Hatake drove in two.
Kato was brought in to pitch.
Takeuchi came in to run for Hatake and got nabbed on his way to second as Yuhei singled. Ohbiki hit what should have been a single to right, but Fukudome failed at picking the nearly stopped ball up off the grass, which allowed Yamada to score and Yuhei to safely reach second. Miwa nearly added to the damage, but Egishi made a diving catch in shallow center to end the side. 5-0 Tokyo, Final.
