The Scoring:

Top of the first. Toritani led off with a solo home run. As Christopher and David successfully predicted yesterday, first blood led to a W. It didn’t get much more fun from there. 1-0 Hanshin.

Bottom of the third, two outs. Nakamura led off the inning with a single and stole second. Toritani fumbled a  Kawabata grounder, which allowed Nakamura to score the Swallows’ only run of the game. 1-1.

Top of the sixth, one out. Toritani singled. Yamato attempted a bunt and wound up safely on first due to a Yamada error at second. Fukudome hit a three-run homer. 4-1 Hanshin.

Top of the seventh, one out. An Imanari single followed by an unsuccessful bunt by Shunsuke and a successful one by Fujii put a man on second for Kano to drive in with a double. 5-1 Hanshin.

Top of the eighth. Roman took the mound for Tokyo, giving up a hit to Yamato and an RBI double to Fukudome. 6-1 Hanshin, Final.
