(This line up brought to you by injuries to Hatake (back after All Star break) and Araki.)

Both teams got their first hits of the night in the second via solo shots. Balderis for the BayStars, and Yamada for the Swallows. 1-1 All Yamada’s shot was his 19th of the season giving him a share of the CL home run lead with Hatake.

The Swallows took the lead in the fourth after Yamada lead things off with an almost homer double off the wall, followed by an RBI single by Yuhei. 2-1 Swallows Two outs later Nakamura belted a double of his own to score an extra run. 3-1 Swallows

The Swallows got yet another insurance run in the sixth after Yuhei and  Dening singled and doubled, respectively and Obiki singled in a run. 4-1 Swallows

Roman came in to pitch the seventh for the Swallows. He allowed a lead off walk and was the victim of a bad Kawabata throw to put men on first second with no out. Roman managed to get out of the inning with only one run allowed after a Kurobane hit. 4-2 Swallows

Logan and Tony came in and did their respective THANGs in the eighth and ninth to preserve the victory for the Swallows. 4-2 Swallows FINAL

Tomorrow’s rematch will feature Tateyama’s second start this season.
