The scoring:

Bottom of the second: An inning of sacrifices. Yuhei walked, Iihara hit, Nakamura sac-bunted them both over, and Yachi drove Yuhei home on a sac-fly. 1-0 Tokyo.

Bottom of the fourth: If Iihara isn’t careful, we might start favoring him again. He tripled. Nakamura then drove him in. 2-0 Tokyo.

Top of the fifth: The cocky visitors’ sole run came when Ibata and Chono hit to put men on the corners, then Hashimoto hit a sac-fly to bring Ibata in. 2-1 Tokyo.

Bottom of the sixth: Yuhei hit a deep double, then made it to third when Iihara grounded out. Nakamura then hit a high home run to left. 4-1 Tokyo, Final.

For the rest of the game Shichijo and the Tokyo defense shut down the league-leaders, a feat the hosts will repeat tomorrow.
