The scoring:

Top of the first: With two outs, Kawabata kept up the good show he’s been putting on of late and doubled. Balentien drove him in. 1-0 Tokyo.

Bottom of the first: Ishikawa doubled and moved to third on a Kajitani ground-out to second. Blanco walked. Tsutsugo popped up to left and Balentien undid his RBI by bobbling it. 1-1.

Bottom of the fourth: Blanco struck out, Tsutsugo grounded out. Good start. Then Baldiris singled, Yamazaki walked, and Kurobane and Takasaki drove in runs. 3-1 Yokohama.

Top of the fifth: Yamada doubled, reached third on an Ueda ground-out, then scored on a Kawabata ground-out. 3-2 Yokohama.

Bottom of the fifth: With two outs, Ogawa decided to start Blanco off with a fastball down the middle. Blanco passed it to the Swallows fans in left. 4-2 Yokohama.

Bottom of the sixth: Kurobane singled, Tamura hit a two-run homer. 6-2 Yokohama.

Balentien hit a solo home run in the eighth, but it wasn’t enough to save the day. 6-3 Yokohama, Final.

Tomorrow is time to reflect on what exactly the fix is that has the Swallows losing to the BayStars.
