Hiroshima Carp 7
Streak: Lost 4 Last 5: WLLLL
(Mazda Zoom Zoom Stadium Hiroshima)
If your 4th of July traditions include getting shelled by the Carp and stranding ten men on base, rest assured those traditions are safe.

Let’s do this perfunctory autopsy quickly, so we can all get back to not watching the Swallows lose.
Bottom of 2nd: Eldred was walked, Rosario singled, Soyogi sac-bunted both runners over, and Hirose knocked in a run with a sac fly. A Kura RBI brought Rosario in, too. 2-0 Hiroshima.
Bottom of the 3rd: Maru and Eldred hit back-to-back solo home runs. 4-0 Hiroshima.
Bottom of the 5th: Kikuchi and Maru hit, Eldred hit his second homer of the game. 7-0 Hiroshima.
Top of the 6th: Yuhei, Iwamura, and Morioka strung together three hits to score a run. 7-1 Hiroshima, Final.
The Swallows will attempt to stop the skid tomorrow.
