Let’s get to the scoring, shall we?

Bottom of the 3rd: Hiroyasu singled, Nakamura sac-bunted him to second. Morioka shot a double past “Potty-mouth” Cruz (you’ll see why), driving Beavis home. Ueda drove Morioka in, but then got caught stealing. 2-0 Tokyo.

Bottom of the 4th: Ready? With one out, Kawabata walked, Yuhei reached first on a Hosoya error, Iwamura RBI single. Tanaka Hiroyasu reminded us why we love him: two-RBI triple. Nakamura: RBI single. Morioka: RBI triple. 7-0 Tokyo.

Bottom of the 5th: Ohmine was pulled for Furuya. Makes sense. Yamada and Kawabata singled. Yuhei hit an RBI single. Iwamura one-upped him with an RBI double. Tanaka walked. Noguchi hit an RBI. With only one out, Furuya got yanked. 10-0 Tokyo.

Bottom of the 6th: Yamada walked. Yuhei hit a two-run home run. 12-0 Tokyo.

Top of the 7th: Yep, top. Kakunaka singled, Cruz knocked him in with an RBI double. 12-1 Tokyo.

Bottom of the 7th: Two outs in, Yamada walked, then Kawabata doubled. Yuhei hit a two-RBI double. 14-1 Tokyo.

Top of the 9th: Cruz hit a two-run home run. While rounding third, he shouted abuse at Barnette. Barnette appeared to zing him with an, “Oh yeah? Yeah. OK.”

Game ended right away. 14-3 Tokyo, Final.

Big break, then back to CL play.
