Balentien’s 55 Home Run Swings in 3 Minutes

The inimitable, irreplaceable Gen (which we assume is short for ‘Genius’) over at Yakyu Baka has cut together footage of all 55 of Coco’s jacks so far this season. The montage focuses on pitch and contact, but it’s fun to try to imagine which prefecture the offending ball landed in. There are a couple of homers that clearly stayed in the air long enough for Balentien to circle the bases, collect high-fives, and mess with our penguin of a mascot.

By the way, we can’t stress enough how vital of a resource Yakyu Baka is. If you’re not already a regular reader, then get yourself over there and have a look around.

About Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a budding sabermetrician and long-time supporter of Tokyo's more lovable team, the Swallows. He has publicly volunteered, several times, that he plans to buy the team at some point in the future. When he finally runs the joint, it is likely that he will fine any player who swings at the first pitch or sac bunts (unless it's a pitcher, of course). Follow him on Twitter: @chrispellegrini
