W: Ogawa (6-2); L: Kaneko (4-5); S: Yamamoto (0-1-8)

If you’re feeling a bit of motion sickness, it’s due to the unfamiliar upward motion that interrupted the downward slide, rest assured it’s OK. Most fans even find it pleasurable once they get used to it. It’s a win. Remember the feeling – it might be a while before you can replicate it.

Both starters lasted a while and both teams used a mere two hurlers to get this game done. Both starters gave up a fair number of hits, but neither offense took advantage of that fact.

Tokyo scored first, when Balentien doubled, made it over to third, and was drive in by Iwamura. 1-0 Tokyo.

In the fifth, Tanaka and Milledge hit safely, but Morioka grounded into a double play. Takeuchi followed that up by driving Tanaka home, though. 2-0 Tokyo.

Orix scored their only run when Lee singled and was replaced by “all-round player” Adachi, who then scored on a Goto deep fly to center. 2-1 Tokyo, Final.

The Swallows resume regular CL play with a trip to Hiroshima starting Friday.
