Well, that’s three hours ten minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. I’ll do you the courtesy of wasting as little of your’s as possible by keeping this one short.

Roman lost his second straight start

Tokyo took the lead in the 3rd from a two run Milledge homer (nineteen for the year) for 2-0 Tokyo, but as has been the case in each and every game this series, they couldn’t hold on to their lead.

After looking fairly comfortable up until that point, things went awry for Roman in the top of the 4th. Two doubles pulled Yomiuri back to 2-1 , a single tied things up at 2-2 before two singles loaded the bases which set the scene for a rapidly unraveling Roman to walk in two runs for 4-2. Matsui came in to get the last out of the inning and strand three Yomiuri men.

And that was about that, with a combined five Yomuiri pitchers holding the Tokyo bats to just the four hits over the duration of this one. Meanwhile five Tokyo relievers (Matsui, Abe, Hidaka, Oshimoto, and Yamamoto) kept the deficit at the two runs. 4-2 Yomiuri Final.

The Swallows have now lost their last four series. With Hiroshima winning tonight, Tokyo are now three games out of a playoff place. From here the Swallows travel to the Nagoya Dome for a weekend series against Chunichi. Tomorrow’s starters are schedules to be Akagawa vs Nakata.

Best believe this fella is coming. His target: Tokyo’s playoff hopes.
