Akagawa lasted only three ininngs, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk.

In the bottom of the first, Milledge, back after a time out to think about his naughty, naughty shrugging at an umpire, led off with a hit and was driven in by a Matsui homer to right.

Down 5-2 in the bottom of the eighth, the Birds put some action together. With Morioka on first, Aikawa, who’d come into the game in the third, when Akagawa was yanked, knocked in an RBI. Milledge and Tanaka then hit, too, causing the BayStars to yank Fujie in favor of Shinohara, who faced Miyade.

Yes, Miyade was put in to pinch hit for Matsui.

Miyade hit, but not RBI. That got Shinohara replaced by Kaga, who faced Hatake and gave up a grand slam.

Yokohama made up one run, but it was 7-6 Tokyo, Final.
