Tokyo Swallows Podcast No. 1 July, 2011

After a couple of years of silence, Dave Watkins and Christopher Pellegrini sat down once again to record an audio podcast dedicated to Japanese Professional Baseball in general and the Tokyo Swallows in particular.

This first episode focuses on the reasons why the Swallows are currently at the top of the Central League, the key players from the first half of the season, and what needs to happen down the stretch as the team pushes for home field advantage in the playoffs. The podcast itself was recorded on July 31st, 2011 a few hours before this crazy home game.

While not offering any promises about future releases of this podcast, we hope that this is something that people enjoy and find to be informative. If that turns out to be the case, then expect Dave and Christopher to sit down and hammer out more of these.

The podcast can also be found on iTunes, where you can also subscribe and get any future episodes delivered automatically.

Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Thanks for listening!

About Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a budding sabermetrician and long-time supporter of Tokyo's more lovable team, the Swallows. He has publicly volunteered, several times, that he plans to buy the team at some point in the future. When he finally runs the joint, it is likely that he will fine any player who swings at the first pitch or sac bunts (unless it's a pitcher, of course). Follow him on Twitter: @chrispellegrini

Yay! Trans Pacific Radio Spotlight (sort of) is back on the air!
To be honest I haven’t miss you guys too much because I’ve been listening to Australian Baseball League podcasts all winter?
Good to have you back though.
