Losing pitcher: Nakazawa, 3-3/3.11. 2 2/3 innnings pitched, 10 runs (8 earned) off 11 hits.

Score after 3 innings: 13-0

Swallows runs: 2 in the 6th (D’Antona single, Ihara triple, Guiel single), 2 in the 8th (Aoki walk, D’Antona HR)

What those runs meant: Fuck all.

What the team looked like: A team that has given up. Or perhaps one that’s just waiting for a change.

Who went to this game: Me.

Games worse than this I’ve witnessed in nigh-on 10 years as a Swallows fan: None.

Our manager is: A fucking useless piece of deadwood.

Number of times I heckled the manager: Many.

Reaction of the Swallows fans in my vicinity to said heckling: Applause.

People who think Takada should still be manager of the Swallows: Only the Yakult front office.

What the fans think: Get this useless buffoon who is destroying our team thee fuck out of here.

Chances of this happening: Minimal.

Why?: The Yakult organisation as a whole is not known for it’s intelligence.

My tether: Is at it’s end.

Tomorrow will bring: More of the same.

Final thoughts: TAKADA OUT!! NOW!!!!!

Takada, go cry at home - far away from our baseball club. Take your boss with you.

    In apologizing for the team's performance yesterday, Takada made comments that reopened the possibility of his resignation. Despite receiving the support of management at an emergency meeting on the 20th, Takada made comments that seemed to hint at the possibility of his resignation if things continue to go downhill. (At least Nikkan Sports seemed to think so.)

    In other news, the team hired former Swallow Takao Ise to an instructor's position. Ise played for the Swallows in the late 70's, and served two stints as a hitting coach/instructor with the team, most notably during the Nomura years.

    I was at this game as well, though (obviously) on the other side of things. I haven't had a chance to write anything as I am at the Lotte-Hanshin rainout in Koshien. That was an awful bit of managing by Takada. Nakazawa had nothing – Lotte only scored 1 run off the bases loaded, nobody out situ in the first – yet Takada left him out there to get killed. What was that supposed to accomplish? Trying to destroy the confidence of your first round pick – is this some 'character building' exercise?
