This was great stuff.
Looking back, the Pacific League last year was really exciting. I don’t think any of the so-called “experts” predicted Seibu and Orix finishing first and second, actually I don’t think very many people saw them even to be A-class teams. This year should be exciting as well. Lots of drama involved. Bobby’s last year, Nomura’s last contract season, Iguchi coming back, the Rose-Cabrera-Fernandez-LaRoca connection, the defending champs without coach Dave Okubo, Oishi’s first real year as manager…. and of course all the awesome young pitchers in the league, and how the WBC will affect them…
On the other hand the C-League was the same old same old with the Giant, Tigers, and Dragons, making it to the post-season. Hopefully Yakult can mix things up a bit this year.
Flick,
We had a good time recording that one and we’re looking forward to getting the “2009 Preview” up before the end of this month.
Thanks for listening!
