No rumor, Mr. Casler, Jamie D'Antona has signed with Tokyo and we're happy to have him. Current player stats for the Tokyo Swallows are available on our "Current Player Stats" page, which will be updated as soon as the 2009 roster is set. You can follow the birds' progress on our "Game Results" page (again, to be updated once the 2009 proceedings get underway.) The Tokyo Yakult Swallows 2009 schedule is also now available (click the link.) Should we have the chance to meet Jamie, we'll tell him Tucson says hello. We've got a nice ballpark in a nice town over here - why not take a vacation next summer, catch a game, and maybe give Mr. D'Antona your regards face to face? Everyone's always welcome at Jingu and I've never known anyone to leave not having had a blast.

Hi Deanna.

Ah Miyade…….bless his large cotton socks. The big, tall guy with next to no power to go with it.

Still very popular with a section of the Jingu support though. I think the big chance in his career came last year, with the team in flux and a lot of new guys (Tanaka, Ihara) getting playing time. Miyade had his chance to stake a claim for a regular starting spot, but though he’s a trier he was never quite good enough, hence his relegation to a bit-part player this year.

I fear his time has passed……..maybe a trade would do him good and help to kick start his career……?
