The Central League took revenge, outhitting the Pacific League 19-12 and committing no errors to the PL’s 2, while winning 11-6 despite 4 PL home runs (hit by Matsunaka, Hidaka, and Omatsu – with 2.)
Aoki went 2 for 5 with an RBI and Miyamoto went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Woods hit one for the CL.
Tokyo’s own Ishikawa took the win for the CL – giving up 1 run (a home run), no walks, and 3 hits with no strikeouts – while Sugiuchi got the loss for the PL.
The game was rather close, but for a huge 5th inning in which the CL scored 6 runs off of 7 hits.
